BETA CONVENTION
GA State and National Beta Convention
We usually begin the selection process for Beta Convention attendees around the month of September. If you attended Jr. Beta Convention in middle school, the competitions for the Senior Beta Convention are similar; however, there are several differences. To decide which events you want, please feel free to take a look at the Beta Convention Handbook!

This is a once-in-a-lifetime event Northview Betas attend each year to meet Betas from all over the United States! This is also a great opportunity to get to know the Beta officers and sponsors more!
To those who are curious as to how we select Beta Convention attendees:
For academic events, we usually send out an email to the teachers, asking them to recommend a select few from the list of people interested in competing for the certain academic event.
For Quiz Bowl, we will hold a mock quiz bowl test in Mrs. Hart-Sekman's room one day after school. The four who scored the highest on the test will be selected to attend Beta Convention.
For art events, we will ask each interested participant to submit 2-3 artworks. One of the officers (who are greatly familiar with art) will judge and select the best submission.
For group events, oftentimes the group of people you have selected to be with will participate in Beta Convention with you. There may be times when people are added to your group.
For talent competitions, we will hold auditions one day after school in the blackbox theater. The audition date will be announced at least two weeks prior to the date.

Best of luck!
